SPC - Resolution #2
This resolution goes hand in hand with my first resolution to eat more vegetables - I need to eat more fruit too. This papier mache watermelon slice came from Mexico. I have a whole bowl of papier mache fruit that I bought in Nogales, Mexico. I looked all over Nogales for them, and then when I got home I found a place that sold them on the Internet for about the same as what I paid in person. It was more fun to pick them out in person though.

cool photo and even cooler that you have paper mache fruit in a bowl.
Hey this is a great photo! And how is the veggie eating going? I made leek soup a few nights ago. Interesting. Part of the whole "French Women Don't Get Fat" New Year for me.
I think you should show us all the papier mache fruit too.
Cool photo! You're planning on eating real fruit though, not the papier mache ones, right? :-D
I like that picture - and if it's any indication of how the eating thing is going - your complexion looks really healthy! Or have you been washing your face!
Or is it the whole glitter thing come to fruition?
cool portrait, the colors are great!!! i love friut & veggies and i hope you'll start to like them 2 ;)
Cool picture. The watermelon is your smile!
this is a fabulous picture of you.
Great pic! :) I haven't come up with anything for SPC lately. I need to get back in the swing of things!
Nice fruit. I always love your SPC posts.
I love the picture - the connection/eye contact you have with the camera is great. Veggies aren't so bad! What do you eat, if not vegetables?
Thanks everybody!
I'm doing ok so far with the veggie and fruit thing. My biggest problem is that I tend to eat lots of carbs like rice, pasta, and potatoes and I'll eat so much of that that there's no room left for green veggies. And fresh veggies require a little more prep than opening a box and heating something up (although sometimes not much more). So I need to cut back on the carbs so I can eat some veggies too. Balance is the key.
h - Thanks! I'm a face washing whore now. And moisturizing!
jeremy - I'm glad you picked up on the smile thing, that is kind of the idea I had in my mind when I thought of this, but then the size of the fruit as compared to my face made me think that that wouldn't come through. I'm glad it did somewhat!
anna - See, watching America's Next Top Model does pay off!
I would like to discuss running your photo with feature article on the Self Portrait Challenge in an upcoming publication from Stampington & Company (stampington.com). Please email me at sdumoski@stampington.com if you are interested. Thanks!
