Puzzled No More

Today I will post about something a bit less contentious. I finished the puzzle I was working on! I kind of went nuts and worked on it for about 3 hours Friday night and about 4 hours on Saturday. When my eyes started crossing on Saturday I kept going because I was so close to finishing. The time recorded on my stop watch was 7 hours and 39 minutes, and I worked on it about 2 hours last Sunday, so my total time was about 9 hours and 39 minutes. Which seems like a lot! It was fun though; I think I will get another one to work on at some point.

congrats on the big finish. this is why i stick to puzzles with no more than 100 pieces. and i pretty much just help my son, who does them.

i did have a great idea for a puzzle, tho– i've seen all white or all black ones, with like, 1000 pieces or something. you could totally fake being a genius if you had one where all the pieces were the same, so everything was interchangeable. okay, i'm off to register the idea, nobody steal it!

Wow, that's dedication!! I like that you kept a stopwatch to record how long it took! You must be very type A, right?

There's that Christopher Lee. wow-you did it. We once tried an Escher puzzle. I think that was the precisely the exact moment I went insane.

I'm impressed...I never thought about timing myself. I think I would get to hurried to enjoy it and would eventually give up!

~Thanx for all the comments, I'm guessing you must be really really bored! ha After taking TONS of different meds for migraines I've found that Imitrex works best too. Of course the base we are at now wont carry it so I have to try something else (which I did and it made my throat feel like it was closing--bad side effect!!!) or buy it off base. I'll stick with Imitrex!

ooooooooh I love puzzles, but I lose interest after finding all the side pieces and putting them together...I usually make someone else do the middle =) Good job on finishing!!

j - I would love to be a fake genius!

b - Believe it or not, I don't think I am actually type A. I really didn't care how long it took me, I was just kind of curious to see the number.

p - That sounds tough! I like that you can pinpoint the exact moment!

rb - thanks! I also forgot to mention that one time when my insurance got all pissy about paying for Imitrex I tried Zomig and it also worked well for me.

k - I wasn't even sure about the shape until I put it together. I didn't know it had that little dispy doodle on the left side - I thought it was just like the right side. Gotta love surprises!

c - Thanks! I did do the edge first of course, but by then I just had to finish.

Yay on the puzzle!! Your puzzling posts made me really think I'm going to have to break out a new one sometime after Thanksgiving.
