Buh Bye Mabel
I need closure on the Mabel situation, and as it looks like I won't be getting that from her, maybe I can get it by posting about it here. Basically I have talked to her once since we went to IKEA, oh only about seven weeks ago. I called her one Sunday afternoon about 2 weeks after the IKEA trip. I never did call her much because she was always talking about how she didn't really like to talk on the phone. She was studying for a midterm at her Mom's house. We talked for about 10 minutes, until she decided that a trip to the grocery store with her Mom sounded like more fun than talking to me. Yeah, I know I always love to go to the f'in grocery store - where else can I get my Wang Chung fix? I sent her a couple of e-mails after that that she never replied to. So, she either:
(A) Is too busy to do anything but study and go to the grocery store with Mom.
(B) Went fucking crazy from all the stress and killed herself, her mother, and her dogs.
or
(C) Just flat out didn't dig me.
I thought about trying to call her again, but I figured why waste my time. If she wanted to talk she could drop me an e-mail. If she was interested she was making me work way too hard! C'mon, I'm lazy. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but life goes on.

I think your blog readers provide evidence that lots of chicks dig you. I'm quite certain you will find someone who's more in to you and has more time to spend with you. Good for you for getting closure on the whole thing.

If the reason was that she just didn't like me, she's certainly entitled to her opinion. You either like someone or you don't, so I can't really hold that against her.

I'm with Michelle on this one, you will most definitely find someone. I'm a little shocked actually that you haven't already but maybe Mabel was clogging the neural pathways.
It's always good to get closure and now, you'll be able to be open to meeting someone new.
There has always been this stigma that "guys are jerks." But lately I have been noticing more and more that "girls are crazy!"
You were probably way too good for her dumb ass anyway!

You dont' sound bitter at all, just disappointed and that's pretty normal. Mabel missed out big time.

A - it's actually not surprising that I haven't met anyone, I don't go out much, I don't have any friends that know single people, and even if I saw someone on the street that I wanted to talk to chances are that 99% of the time I wouldn't talk to them unless they said something to me first. Which almost never happens.
Even with all this bitching, being in a relationship is not the be-all end-all goal of my existence. If I meet someone, great. If I don't, great. There are plenty of other areas to channel my energies into.
Dammit - don't not post for days and then post twice. It screws me up. I totally missed this post.
Yes, Mabel missed the boat. I misread what kiki wrote and thought initially she said "Mabel went clogging," like the shoe dancing of old..
