When you go to San Diego, of course you have to go to the zoo. Actually these pictures are from the Wild Animal Park, but close enough. I have so many that I've decided to break them down into 2 categories. Tonight is "birds" (+1 insect).

i didn't go to the zoo when i was in san diego. love all the bird shots though. but i just don't feel comfy in zoos. however, i had an awesome whale watching trip on one of the sight seeing boats. that was cool!
coolio birds. the one near the bottom, where is it from? Australia? I know I have seen it in a book somewhere.
r - i so want to go whale watching.

We came back from the beach a week ago and I'm right there with ya JC, I am a huge pelican fan. Something about them is just cool. We ate at a really good seafood restaurant that displayed photographs from local artists on the walls and there was a great close up of a pelican. I wanted it but after being shell shocked from the bill, I completely forgot about the picture!
