Here We Go Again

Here comes another hurricane. It looks like this one is going to hit Texas. There's no way that this one will create the same kind of problems as the last one, but it could still cause a lot of damage. Everyone is being super cautious this time due to the well-documented failings of the response last time. Also, the geography of New Orleans is a unique case, with the city being below sea level in a bowl-shaped depression. If this follows the predicted path we should get a lot of rain here in Dallas this weekend. Yes, the response will be much better this time -after all Texas is about 67% Republican.

I couldn't resist after reading some stuff about how the hurricanes in Florida were handled last year. You know, the governor is the president's brother, it's an election year, Florida is an important state to win. So of course you have to do a good job there. Sounds like nutty conspiracy stuff but I haven't seen anything from this bunch that would make me think it wasn't possible.

They will do a great job with the evacuation and everything in Texas because they will want everyone accounted for in case there's a huge rush towards the border amidst all the chaos. I mean GW likes to flaunt his horrible Spanish but he doesn't actually know any Mexican people and doesn't want to. Oops now that's a wicked comment.
