SPC - Blue 2
The theme for this month's Self Portrait Challenge is "Blue".
My favorite coffee mugs are a set of 3 cobalt blue ones that I have. I like that they're big enough to pour a generous-sized cup into, and I just really love the color. It's a very rich blue.

Nice use of flash. The blown out features and dark background really make the blue mug the focus.

I love this picture too... and the mug. After all my mug making - I left every big mug in OKC, so I can't have a big mug of cocoa.. it's really sucked!! I've been drinking big hot glasses!!

I agree with Jeremy. I'm not a fan of flash but this really works. The mug, your eyes and the stripes on your shirt just pop.

Thanks everyone! I'm really blown away by the response to this.
I don't use flash much, but I knew I wanted to for this. I had envisioned a kind of Arbus-like image (not in quality, but in style) with my ugly mug lit up by the flash, but I chickened out on that kind of honesty and upped the contrast to smooth things out a little.
