Fall Has, Uh, Fallen?
The leaves are finally starting to turn here. Oaks are kind of hit or miss on fall color. Some years you get amazing color and other years you get - brown. It's still a little early to tell what the oaks are going to do. Now maples on the other hand - there's a tree you can count on for good color. Here are a few photos! The non-autumnal part of all this? It was 80 degrees F when I took these photos. I was wearing shorts and flip-flops.

80F and flipflops.. you had to rub it in, didn't you? I'd give the world for warmer temps right now.
I loved the oak leaves when they were so fabulously colourful over here.. like.. weeks ago!
nice ones JC. I particularly like the last few...great color and comp
No fair. That's all I have to say. No fair. It's freezing in Boston. Literally. The pictures you take are beautifully sharp. The color is great too. Very pretty. It must be totally confusing for your body to be warm when it's clearly no longer summer.
It's so nice to relive the colors. Lovely pics jc. It's snowing here.
JC - love the pictures! And Fall is my favorite season......then Spring! The colors in Fall are just so beautiful! It's cold here in Maryland.....in the 30's & 40's! But by next week it will probably be in the 50's & 60's. But I like it cooler especially around the holiday season....it just feels right.
Beautiful photos!!
I usually agree with you about maples, but this has been one of the few years where ours here in Kentucky haven't had good colors at all. Our oaks, on the other hand, which are usually rather subdued by comparison, are the most colorful trees of all this year. Go figure!
pretty colors...it's white here in zagreb because of the first snow :)
I love fall colors...haven't had many around here. Thanks for sharing!!! I love the silhouetted leaf--I think the fifth pic down!
Sorry, but...Tag! You're it. Go to my blog to see what I'm talking about.
Faith loves to collect leaves so she is literally in heaven (this is the first year she's actually aware of fall). She has leaves dying all over the place!!
