Springtime's Revenge

Oh my gah I should've never said anything about my allergies feeling better yesterday. I had to go out and do some weed-whacking, and even though I wore a dust mask, today my allergies have been terrible. I just want it to stop! Spring - stop springin!

I found out last night that apparently it is possible to read by candlelight. Although I did end up supplementing it with my little LED keychain light. I'm always amazed when I think about how candles and wick lamps used to be the only nighttime illumination. I probably wouldn't have been as much of a reader had I lived in those days. But I'd probably be better at telling stories.

I never had allergies until I moved to the Garden state. Last year I didn't even know what I was supposed to do, let alone actually admit that I even had allergies, feh.

I would so have sucked as a pioneer woman - the reading by candlelight I could do, but the rest? I'd starve and I'd be neked because there's no way I'd scrub clothes on a washboard or kill my dinner.

(that was a crazy tangent i just wrote, yes?)

In highschool I used to perch a votive candle in it's glass holder on my sternum while laying in bed to read. Every so often there would be a molten wax accident but for the most part it was just terribly romantic.

yeah, I was wondering wtf you meant about being allergy free. I wonder how much it would cost to install a level 4 cleanroom?

I want another picture of you mowing the lawn in your "outfit."

I have used my cellphone to read at night. Insanity - and probably a really quick path to eye strain...

I'm pissed that I didn't hear about Earth Hour until AFTER the fact...everyone else seemed to know about it! Boooo...

I think everything looks better by candelight. Maybe I'll just have my own damn Earth Hour since everyone left me out last time.

Hope your allergies get better ASAP!!!

silly me. i never imagined there might be allergies in tx. here i am in pollen-central feeling all sorry for myself, wishing we could move west to tx, or nm, or az. ian always says i'll be allergic to something no matter where we moved, and here you go and prove him right!? are you on his never-leaving-tennessee payroll?

v - i do have hay fever. claritin seems to help.

k - i would have too. i often think how hard it would be for me to kill my dinner. but i bet i would get over that if i was starving.

a - dude, that's hardcore! right on your sternum? awesome.

h - i don't know, that may have been a one-time offer.

pg - nothing wrong with just drinking.

c - you can have earth hour whenever you want!

r - this area is really bad. nm and az are probably better, but arizona isn't as allergy free as it used to be since all the people planted grass and whatnot and keep it alive by watering it!

d - there's always next year!

lol Being a storyteller would be awesome! There are too many things that are convienent that I would NOT like to live without!!! Like um...toilets, refrigerators, and I really do have to agree with the lights and books! I miss being able to read for fun!

I hope you're allergies don't last all summer...that would be horrible. I'm taking my daughter in today to see if that is part of the reason why she's been coughing and sick for so long...
