Downtown

I went for a stroll downtown with my new lens this evening. I'm really loving it. It's so much sharper than my old lens.

Fantastic! They are indeed very crisp and the color looks great. What kind of lens is it? I'm dying for a new lens.

I think they are fantastic too! The first one is my favorite but the one with the door (pull down door I think) over to the left is also very striking. Hell, they are all quite striking. You should print and frame a couple of them.

m.h. - I was blown away by the colors, especially the reds. The lens is a Canon 24-105 L f4.0 with image stabilization. I have been saving up for it for a couple of years. I love it! The contrast is great too, I didn't have to do much editing on the computer.

M - Thank you! The building in the first photo is actually what spurred me to go down there. I pass that building on my way home from the library, and I have always loved the look of that peeling painted brick.

V - Thanks! I had to save up for a long time to buy it. I wasn't sure I would see much of a difference, but I definitely do.

pg - I thought of that song too. I always think of the Groundskeeper Willie version as well(Doontoon). The original makes me think of Lost now.
